When Apollo (the Sun god) disappears below the horizon, Diana (the Moon) adorns the skies and discreetly spreads her light through the mysterious depths of the night. These two divinities have similar but not identical functions: alternately they enlighten the world, from which arises taheir ‘family likeness’. This is a statue of Apollo in an unrestored version, just as it was found in the ruins of a temple.
Material: composite.
