Admiral Fitzroy apparently escaped a storm while touring the world with Darwin in 1836, thanks to this invention! The object of this invention is to predict the weather: the sealed tube comprises a mixture of distilled water, ethanol, potassium nitrate, ammonium chloride, and camphor. The changes in crystallization inside the spheres should allow the weather to be predicted. It seems that the interest in predicting the weather is uncertain, on the other hand as a curiosity: it is the height!
