These hairs are almost 30,000 years old and were obtained by thawing permafrost. With the warming, in Siberia, we were able to access in June 2010, a mammoth sufficiently well preserved to recover these specimens: dense wool close to the body to preserve the cold, and longer hairs that can reach up to 90cm !
